The Prism Launcher is an alternative launcher for Minecraft Java Edition. It makes managing modpacks very easy.

When installed, ensure you log into your Microsoft Minecraft account.

The SevTech:Ages Modpack is based on Minecraft 1.12.2 which requires Java 8. This can be installed from Adoptium for your platform. You can follow the instructions via Prism Launcher.

In the Prism Launcher settings, I strongly suggest increasing the RAM available for Minecraft to use. This is a hefty modpack and it can consume significant RAM. 8GB is the recommended Minimum. 16GB maximum is not necessary but is what I suggest if you can spare it.

1. Click the Add Instance button within Prism Launcher. 

2. On the left, select CurseForge.

3. Search for Sevtech. Select "SevTech: Ages" (NOT Ages of The Sky)

4. Name it whatever you want, I recommend MitchTech!

5. Ensure the version at the bottom right is SevTech: Ages - 3.2.3

There is one main client side mod I would encourage you to update for the QoL. ReAuth allows you to refresh your login without closing the instance. As the instance can take a significant amount of time this can be a real life saver. The version that is distributed with the modpack does not support Microsoft accounts.

1. Right click on the new instance and select "Edit"

2. From the tabs on the left of the new window, select "Mods"

3. In the filter pane at the bottom of the window search "reauth"

4. Update ReAuth from version 3.6.0 to version 4.0.7. 

Double click on the instance to boot up the game! Don't worry, it may take 10+ minutes to launch.

From here it's just like normal Minecraft! Add the server using the IP address at the top of this site.
